Covid in Assam, India May 8th report 2021
According to the report suggested by the officials, it is said that Assam has mounted a total tally of 2,77,687 active covid-19 cases on Friday and 5,626 more people were found positive in the disease. According to the report by National Health Mission (NHM) till Friday 46 fresh fatalities have been found in the state and which makes a total death count of 1,578 in the region.
In the state, govt has already started it's immunization drive for the people in the age group of 18 to 44 and approximately 33,000 peoples has received its first dose of the vaccine across 244 centers in the state.
In the case of fatalities, Kamrup Metro is still in the top with 15 numbers followed by 8 in Dibrugarh and 3each in Cachar and Golaghat. Also, Barpeta, Nalbari, Sonitpur, Sivasagar, Udalguri each has reported 2 deaths, and 1 each in Bishwanath, Baksa, Bongaigaon, Hojai, Jorhat, Kamrup rural, and Karimganj.
As of now, Assam has 34,146 Covid-19 active cases with 3,262 recoveries in a single day. This makes a total number of 2,46,242 recoveries in the entire state.
However, the state is still continuing with approx.87 percent of the recovery rate but it's advised not to be so casual and every individual has to be more conscious as earlier.
